Stone and headstone renovations and cleaning.

Before granite became less expensive, blue/grey limestone and white marble were extensively used by the Irish memorial trade. These stones are softer and so do not hold a polish well like granite does. This makes it easy for lichen, moss and algae to adhere to and grow on the stone. That is the reason why some of the stone in older parts of the cemetery can look dull and discoloured.

We can renovate existing limestone and marble memorials. Using gentle cleaning methods we can bring them back to their former splendour. The stone can be sealed if required after cleaning to protect the headstone in the future. Lettering is cleaned out and repainted in the process.
